Can We Change the World with Intentions?

Yes we can! We are way more powerful than we’ve been led to believe!

I recently finished reading The Power of Eight by Lynne McTaggart (which I can highly recommend) and she has been on a quest to figure out why intentions work so well. Lynne is an investigative journalist turned bestselling author and uses her skills to take a very scientific analytical approach to showing how we really are all connected (her books The Field and The Bond go into this in depth). With over a decade of research into intentions and working with groups, what she discovered is that while the person or object of intention received amazing healing/energy/positive impacts, etc, the act of sending intentions to others has a profound positive impact on the sender as well. And the effect is magnified when it is done in groups.

We have a tremendous creative power within ourselves, and our thoughts and emotions absolutely help us to create our world and life experiences. Whether we are doing this on a conscious level or not is up to the level of understanding we have gained. The majority of people live their lives by default not understanding this creative force we have within us. Often they are creating things they do NOT want in their lives, especially through fear and worrying. Once you start to learn about this creative power within, it changes your life forever. You can start to test this with smaller things until you gain the confidence to know that YOU are the one creating your reality. This knowledge puts you into the driver’s seat of your life.

After reading The Power of Eight, I am going to start experimenting with this in a dedicated way. I’ve worked with mastermind groups and teams for many years in various forms. Participating in global meditations always feels powerful. Sometimes we can feel so freaking small that we can’t do anything with all the major problems in the world…but the fact is that we CAN, especially if we work with others. What Lynne discovered in her years of research is that the power of intentions is magnified significantly when groups come together. And there’s plenty of research that shows how group intentions/prayers/meditations really do have an impact on society.

So let’s celebrate this immense power we have within ourselves and let’s use it as a force for GOOD. Let’s come together in groups of friends and loved ones to set the intentions of a peaceful and loving world where everyone’s needs are taken care of. We can do this—especially when we come together.

We can make a conscious choice to stay away from the divisiveness and the fear; instead we can choose love, compassion, and understanding. We can be a part of the solution. We are truly one and the energy that binds us together is love. Let’s use this in a positive way, and set the intention to create the lives we want and the world we can be proud to leave to our grandchildren!

Putting Yourself First—For a Change!

How often do you think about pleasing yourself? We often put ourselves on the bottom of the list for nurturing and caring for when in reality we should be at the top—then we’ll have more energy to give to others.

Women, and mothers especially it seems, are notorious for giving until they don’t have anything left of themselves. Although some men/dads are also falling into this category more often now. This is not the way of the future as it is not sustainable in the long run.

Here are 10 easy ways to do things for yourself that will improve your life immediately. How many of these are you doing regularly?

  1. Stop doing things you don’t want to do
  2. Communicate clearly
  3. Stop pleasing people
  4. Say what you really mean
  5. Trust your instincts
  6. Never talk yourself down
  7. Follow your inspirations
  8. Don’t be afraid to say NO!
  9. Don’t be afraid to say YES!
  10. Be kind to yourself!

What the HECK is going on in our world now?

If you are spending time watching mainstream media, you may be experiencing anxiety, worry, and think that the world is falling apart. Unfortunately, the media has a motto—if it bleeds, it leads—and it’s been that way for decades! Their job is to push fear. More and more people are moving to alternative sources in order to find truth and there are many people I know who are simply turning it off.

The way that I look at the world may be a bit different….and I’m hoping that by sharing this, it might give you a new way to consider things that are happening right now.

Our world is shifting and going through a major transition. What I do intuitively feel is that the good and light will win–we ARE winning! The consciousness of humanity IS rising!

In order to do so, many of our “industrial-based systems” need to crumble and be replaced with much more sustainable systems. There is so much corruption coming to light in EVERY country! The depth of the corruption is systemic and needs to be rooted out on a global basis. We are seeing this happening in real time and a lot of this is being helped by grassroots initiatives, by people who are passionate to know THE TRUTH, and by lightworkers who were born to help in this process. It is the time of #TheGreatAwakening of humanity.

We are in the middle of that chaos right now, and it has to happen. However, this is actually one of the most exciting times to be alive when you look at things from a higher perspective. We all chose to be here for this. And it’s important to lift ourselves out of the drama that is being played out on the global stage. We can be observers as we watch our old paradigm falling apart and we can be active in visualizing and meditating for the New Earth.

I have spent hundreds of hours studying and learning from multiple sources over the years and I always try to see events from various perspectives. There are a lot of different terms for this shift such as we’ve moving from 3D to 5D, this is the Rapture, the Harvest is coming, there will be a Solar event, a solar sneeze, we’re shifting from duality to unity—the list goes on and on.

What we need to understand is that we are learning more and more about how our world is actually run and how utterly corrupt and horrible it has been behind the scenes. The word apocalypse has its roots in the Latin word apocalypsis, meaning to uncover.  That is what we are experiencing right now—the uncovering or revealing of the truth.

If you consider that the majority of the people on this planet actually do NOT want war but rather, they want to live a good life filled with love, peace, joy and abundance. There is a very tiny portion of humanity that IS insane, evil, and doing horrific things.

The more that we the people can unite, the stronger we become.

It’s easy to feel like I’m just one person, what can I do? The fact is there’s a lot that you can do. Join global meditations, find your purpose and live it, be an example of the world as we’d like it to be, share love, share truth, be kind, smile to others and brighten their day, keep your emotions and personal energy high, choose love over fear.

There are numerous studies that prove with a small group of people meditating with the same intention at the same time it has had a positive impact. It’s called the Maharishi Effect[i]—just google that and you’ll see lots of articles about it.

Imagine if 7 billion people decided to focus on love and peace at the same time—what kind of an impact could that have? So let’s work to lift our own emotional state, to have a broader understanding of what is happening, and to be the observer, knowing that we are actually heading towards much better times. The sooner we all come together to embrace this, the sooner it will become our reality.

Dr. Wayne Dyer said, “you’ll see it when you believe it.” The time is now for us to set the intention to bring in the New Earth, this golden age, and to live a life that we simply love! We got this!

Why It’s So Vital to Embrace Change!

Being based in northern Europe, it takes a bit longer for spring to reach us. Although we do start to see the signs with lighter days and hearing the birds chirping, which is reassuring that the winter will come to an end. There’s always a sense of rebirth that comes with the spring. One of my favorite sayings is:

Life is change, Change is constant. Growth is optional.

Like the seasons changing each year, there is also a consistency in that change that is also comforting. Many people say they are resistant to change but in reality it is the unknown that makes them uncomfortable. When you can change your perspective to see that all change gives us an opportunity to grow, then you can step into the unknown with excitement rather than fear.

It’s great that neuroscience can start to explain this in a way that makes sense. When we are in fear, we have cortisol and adrenaline running through our bodies, which actually cuts off our ability to think clearly and make rational decisions. When we are looking forward to something, it puts our mental state into curiosity and expectation, which actually helps to activate oxytocin to be produced in our prefrontal cortex or executive brain. This is where we are able to see with a larger perspective and activate our creative thinking.

When you become aware of the neuroscience behind our interactions—it helps to be able to relate to everyone as a human being. It helps to eliminate the divisive thinking that separate so many people. After all, we are ALL spiritual beings having a human experience on this amazing planet.

I like to compare this to water. If you have a puddle of water–after a while the water grows stagnant and starts to smell. But when water is constantly flowing like a stream, it is fresh and rejuvenating. This IS life.

So embrace the changes and know that you can be in the driver’s seat of your own growth!

Do You Trust Your Intuition?

My first gut reaction to my first husband was stay away from him. I listened to that in the beginning but then over several months of randomly meeting at many events, it was obvious that we had many similar interests.  So that logic and my emotions eventually overtook that first impression. It was a decision that I’d have to pay an extremely high price for later in life after an abusive marriage, discovering that he had lied to me from the very beginning of our relationship.

Why is it that we don’t always trust our intuition or listen to ourselves? I believe our bodies give us messages all the time. Unfortunately, the majority of us are not taught or trained to listen well. This is a tragedy! Tuning into our bodies and learning the various ways we get messages should be a standard lesson growing up.

I recall reading a study about Native Americans that were recruited to the Army specifically for their strong intuitive feelings and almost supernatural tracking abilities. However, as the first groups went through their boot camps, they got the standard short military haircuts like everyone else. It turned out that they lost a lot of their intuitive abilities and did not perform as expected. When the commanders were able to make that connection, they let the next round of recruits keep their long hair and they turned out to be some of the best soldiers and trackers they had. Apparently, their long hair gave them signals of danger far in advance from when their hair was cut.  Your hair may just be an antenna for your intuition!

This study is interesting when you consider how we always cut our hair and all the products that most women use as well! Is it possible that it is affecting our intuitive abilities as well?

There are four key channels of intuitive communication that we can receive:

  • Clairaudience: this is the ability to hear messagesThis can be from external sources such as a message via a song you hear on the radio. Or you can hear audible messages within your mind.
  • Clairvoyance: this is the ability to see or have visions within your mind. You may suddenly get an image in your mind that is important. Or you may have strong messages come through in dreams.
  • Clairsentience: this is the ability to feel into information. For example, getting goose bumps when you hear something that is truth or the hairs on the back of your neck rising up. You are getting some clear message that should have your attention.
  • Claircognizance: this is the ability to know, to have a deep inner knowing. Most often, this is when you just know and you don’t know why you know something. You don’t have any facts to back up your understanding of something other than a deep feeling that it is what you know to be true.

Our bodies are amazing. They tell us so much all of the time. We need to learn to understand just how we receive messages and get in tune with our own system. The more we talk about this, the more we can learn from each other.

Over the years, I’ve learned that my strongest ways of tapping into my intuition are through clairvoyance, claircognizance and clairsentience. I will often get an image in my mind—such as a face of someone I should contact, and I reach out to that person. I also have had many experiences with a deep inner knowing that something was true.  And I have become aware that when I hear something that is truth, I often get a wave of goose bumps (I call them spirit shivers) going down my spine and spreading down my arms.

I’ve heard a story of a very savvy investor who would make his final investment decisions based on how his leg felt. Of course, he analyzed the numbers and did his research, but the final choice came after he would tune into his body.

I like to say, lead with your heart and take your brain with you! We need both the logical and the emotional to make wise decisions. And it is great if we can listen to our intuition as well.

Learn how you get messages, which channels are the strongest for you, and start to listen and actively work with your intuition. And most importantly, learn to trust in yourself.  You are wiser than you may think!

When you start aligning and tapping into your intuition, life may just start to unfold in magical ways for you!
