The BEST Revenge Ever!

Sometimes bad things happen to good people.

I’m sure you’ve heard that phrase before. And most likely experienced it yourself, wondering why this horrible thing was happening to you. We’ve all been there. We’ve been angry, frustrated, sad, annoyed, depressed. It is a part of the human experience.

I recently saw a Jay Shetty video (can highly recommend his videos for inspiration!!) and he shared how the heart machines show a flat line when we are dead. And when our hearts are beating strong, the line goes up and down consistently. That up and down movement shows that we are ALIVE! And it so corresponds to our lives.

Those tough times are often where we grow the most, where we tap into strength and resources we have within us that we didn’t even know existed. It’s where we find our courage, our tears, and our love. Those times give us a natural contrast to truly appreciate the good times that we have.

I have a friend who hasn’t really ever experienced anything “bad” in her life. No one close to her has died or been sick, she’s got a good job, loves what she does, her kids are all doing great, her husband loves her. And guess what? She’s shared with me once….she’s bored!! She’s bored with her life!

I’ll be honest, I just looked at her and thought to myself, gosh I’d be happy to trade. I thought that for about a second. And then I realized, no I wouldn’t want to trade. My life has been filled with the extremes on both the high and the low side. And I consider myself lucky actually! Because I love so much about my experiences in life, and I love the people it has brought into my life.

The funny thing I’ve learned is that the BEST revenge is keeping your frequency high.

This means being grateful, appreciating all the small moments, sending love out into the world, laughing those gut wrenching belly laughs that make you cry, enjoying great food, having those deep human connections with your friends and loved ones, reading a good book, continually learning, and always finding a way to trust in yourself and in your life. It means actively choosing love over fear. Every day.

I don’t like to talk about “dark energy” very much. But I can tell you it is definitely there. I have felt “attacked” several times just before I was to do something really big—something that would positively impact a lot of people. I used to think there was something wrong with me. But then I realized that I have this bigger purpose—of bringing joy to the world and to the workplace—and that people need what I have to offer. I can show people the way to find more joy.

And it is because of my resolve, that when I get hit with yet another “bad” event, I focus on love, on genuinely connecting to people, sharing my message, looking for the lessons, and staying committed to making a positive difference in the world.

So I pick myself back up, shake it off. Sometimes even get really pissed and say “No! I’m not going to let this stop me!”….and then I move on forward. And guess what? It does make a difference! So then I know I’m on the right path because it gets confirmed in so many ways.

I have a great tool that I developed called the Joyometer (you can download here and get a recording to the backstory of it). I call this a “mood management system” because it makes you aware of the feelings you are experiencing. We often say “I am mad,” “I am sad,” etc. But that is not who we are. We are just experiencing that particular emotion for a certain amount of time. When you can become fully aware of your emotional state, you step into your power. You are back in the driver’s seat of your life and can start to create and manifest things you truly want to experience.

Our world is going through a HUGE transformation right now. Even our Earth is feeling this energetic shift. Our job—ALL of us!—is to keep our frequency on a high level as we transition into a New Earth. Yes, we are going to experience (and are!) a lot of chaos. Just know this is a part of this process.

We are coming together as ONE, we are one in our humanity and we have this lovely planet barreling through space. So let’s come together in love, joy, peace and abundance. Let’s create new systems that are good for the planet and good for each other. It’s truly one of the most exciting times to be alive!

The Power of Practicing Peace

We are in some crazy times and if you watch anything on the news or TV, you’d think the world might be coming to an end.

Let me tell you that this is not true.

According to research by Peter Diamandis, best selling author of Abundance, and many others, we are living in the most abundant and peaceful times right now.

However, that is not what mainstream media wants you to believe. It is a machine that churns out negative news to keep us in fear.

Yes, there are atrocities still happening in the world and I am not denying that. Yes, there are still horrible incidents occurring that should not be. No human being should be losing their life in violence and we definitely should not be killing each other—ever!

But what we are seeing is the revealing of old systems that are dying right now. We are bringing out dated belief systems to light so that we can understand that it is time to move on. These old ways of thinking no longer serve us! And it’s time to transmute them by consciously choosing to think, feel, and believe something else.

Humanity is waking up and choosing love over fear. It is a joy to see this!

The reality is that peace starts inside, with each and everyone one of us. When you can keep the calm during the chaos, you influence the situation around you by modeling something positive.

This was a lesson I learned all too well sitting wrongly accused in a high security holding facility for almost four years. It is possible to practice peace, to choose love over fear, and to positively impact those around you by doing this.

So when you start to feel overwhelmed by the circumstances around you…look closely around you and know that you are a powerful being who can influence the world. You can choose to have thoughts of love, compassion, forgiveness, healing, and peace, and send that out into the world instead.

I had a clear vision once where I saw how polluted the world really was by all of our emotional baggage and drama. I saw the earth from space covered with a thick grey smog or clouds and the war zones were black clouds. But there were beams of light shooting out through those clouds. Those beams of light were people who were practicing peace, love, and joy.

OK, now you might think that sounds hokey. But those beams of light are powerful. And they do break up the collective emotional pollution. The more people that can practice peace in their own lives, the sooner we will all have peace.

The key is to know that it all starts inside of us.

We are each more powerful than we’ve ever been led to believe or understand.

So what can you do now in the midst of all this turmoil?

Turn off the TV. Stop reading the news, or read it in limited quantities. Research shows that five minutes of negative news in the morning has a negative impact for up to eight hours the rest of the day!

Trust me, you’ll still hear about the important things you need to know about anyway. And choose to find the joy in your life. Appreciate all the good things that are happening. And find peace in knowing that we are in the middle of the greatest transformative times in our lives. Be a part of the solution…not a part of the problem.

Help make the world a better place for everyone.  The time is now.

Start practicing peace daily.

Is Our World Going Crazy?

Our world is incredibly tumultuous right now. Between the wacky weather, fires, earthquakes, floods to the upheaval in politics, governments, and so much negativity coming to light, it’s quite easy to feel we ARE going crazy.

So many people are afraid of what is going to happen, saddened by the anger, frustrated by the ineffectiveness of our leaders, disgusted with behavior. Just recently the hashtag #MeToo went viral as women open up about sexual harassment and violations they’ve experienced in their lives.

All of these things ARE horrible. They are scary. They are disheartening. And…we must remember that in order to heal so many things, we must bring it to light first. We must acknowledge that it does exist and then find ways to move forward, working with forgiveness and compassion. And this can be very hard if you’re a victim of circumstances; especially with all the “natural” disasters we’ve been experiencing.

As I see it, our earth is also going through a major shift, which could be contributing to some of the weather extremes. The earth is a living organism and unfortunately, our human race has become a bit of a plague to her, not the caretakers of Gaia as the native indigenous populations looked at their role.

All this craziness, this continuous stream of chaos; I believe it is serving the purpose of waking up humanity on some level. It’s making us take action and refuse to tolerate certain behaviors or actions. It’s causing us to come together to realize that no, we do NOT want _____ (fill in the blank: war, hatred, divisiveness, arrogance, non-accountability, etc). This is actually a good thing!

When two ducks fight, they make a lot of noise and then they separate and shake it off. So do dogs. And then they get on with their day-to-day lives. We are in the process of shaking things off ourselves. It’s time for humanity to come together, to learn to respect each other, to have compassion, to forgive, and to acknowledge that yes, we’ve created some horrible systems and that we are now ready to fix things—TOGETHER!

So all this craziness and chaos, I see the good in it because in the end, we will come together and start to build the world we would all like to see. I truly believe that in my heart. It’s a matter of leaning into trust, bringing to light the darkness in order to heal from it, and to know that we are all one. When we can collectively hold the vision for the future we want to have filled with love, peace, joy and abundance, then we will realize that no, we are not crazy at all. We are in a paradigm shift and heading to a world that is not only sane but in fact, truly amazing!

5 Simple Ways To Finding Peace in Chaos

It may seem like the world is in a horrible state and everything is falling apart—and on one level it IS! This may seem very frightening to many. A huge range of emotions is being felt right now: from sadness and depression to anger and rage to despondency and helplessness. It is very horrible with all the tragedies that have been happening lately.

But let me tell you…we have a choice…the choice to feel HOPE as well. Let me explain.

Our old systems are not sustainable…they are damaging to the planet and to humanity. So they need to go! It doesn’t matter which “system” you look at, it is in the process of either collapsing or transforming—governments, businesses, finances, education, healthcare, agriculture, environment, etc. It’s happening all over the world so no one is free of this right now. So much of what is happening right now is revealing issues, giving us an opportunity to face them, and to choose another path.

Many people are feeling cognitive dissonance. According to Wikipedia, “in psychology, cognitive dissonance is the mental stress or discomfort experienced by an individual who holds two or more contradictory beliefs, ideas, or values at the same time, performs an action that is contradictory to one or more beliefs, ideas, or values, or is confronted by new information that conflicts with existing beliefs, ideas, or values.” When we have deep beliefs that we discover are not true, this is a natural process because we don’t want to let go of those beliefs. But as soon as we open our eyes to the possibility, then we can start to discern the truth of the situation. It can be painful, people can get physically ill, dizzy, go into denial, and if they fight for their old beliefs, it only prolongs the process.

What we are witnessing right now is the collapse of so many of our world systems. At the same time! The depth of corruption and lies runs deep. This is why it feels like the world is falling apart, because it is. And it needs to!

But that doesn’t mean it’s all gloom and doom. On the contrary, this is the sign we’ve been waiting for! The majority of cultures and religions talk about the end of the world–as we know it–and that we will enter into a golden age.

A powerful force that we all can have faith in is the resiliency and love of human beings.

We are awakening to the ways the world has been controlled and on a destructive path. And I believe we are going to fix this. We are coming together as we understand that we need a new way. A better way. A higher level of consciousness or awareness about how we are truly connected, we are one human race. This is the path that will help all of us thrive on this planet.

So I am excited and hopeful when I see the signs of destruction (but not the unnecessary deaths) because I know we HAVE to go through this in order to get to the other side. This is helping to bring people together and to take action for the good of our world.

Just as the birth of a butterfly is the death of the caterpillar, we are in that process of metamorphosis. Understanding this bigger picture will help in seeing things for what they really are. By empowering ourselves on an individual level to be hopeful and find our own peace, we CAN make a difference. We have a tremendous ability to influence this transition just in how we manage our own emotional state. (If you want a tool to help in managing your emotions, you can get my Joyometer here).

The key to this for each of us is to focus on love, compassion, forgiveness, peace, and knowing we can co-create a much better world together!

So how to find your own peace in the middle of the crazy chaos? Here are five great strategies that will help.

  • Gratitude—find things to be grateful for each and every day. Regardless of what you are feeling, this will help make you feel better and brighten your day. Use this as a conscious tool. No matter what the circumstances are, you can always find something to be thankful for so appreciate as much as you can every day!
  • Feed Your Brain Positivity—for goodness sake, turn OFF the TV! Whether it is the mainstream media or the mindless TV shows, just turn it off. (For alternative positive programs, I can highly recommend http://www.gaia.com) Also limit your time on social media. Choose to read some good books. Make sure that the images that you take in are at least 3 times more often positive than any negative ones. Find things that inspire you. Be with people who give you energy. And try to keep a higher perspective or understanding on what is happening in the world.
  • Get Out In Nature—this goes along with turning off the TV and limiting your social media. Take a walk, go for a hike, swim, sit by a tree, take a picnic, allow the sunshine to warm your face, breath in fresh air, listen to the birds. Walk barefoot in the grass–did you know that this is actually called “earthing”? The Earth’s electromagnetic frequency and that our brains in the alpha state (a relaxed, deeply calm state of mind) are the same! This is known as Schuman’s resonance. So this is why being in nature is so good for us!
  • Question Everything!—this is important, especially in these times because there is so much propaganda and disinformation out there. Do NOT take anything at face value but do your own research and find trustworthy sources (I can recommend David Wilcock and http://thrivemovement.com as good places to start.) Anyone with access to internet has no excuse not to do their own research. BUT also listen to what your body feels as you are doing this. We have intuition—that gut feeling—when something feels right or not. Learn to trust it!
  • Meditate for 10 to 20 Minutes per day—if you have not meditated, this may seem more challenging. But meditation can be done is so many ways. I highly recommend guided meditations to start. But even sitting in nature or focusing on peace or doing deep breathing helps ground you tremendously so that you feel calmer and less stressed, which in turn has a positive effect on those around you. There are numerous studies that show how the power of intention by a collective group of people can positively influence society. Here I can also recommend the research from Heartmath Institute.
